Detail photos are some of my absolute favorites!! Here are a few tips I’ve found to help make sure you’re prepared for your wedding detail photos!
– Make a list of the items you are wanting to include in your detail shots and the important “stuff” for the big day (Ex: veil, shoes, all 3 rings, marriage license, special perfume for the day, vow books, socks, cuff links, your something borrowed, etc..) Make sure you have a box that will fit all of the items you listed!
– Assemble the box the Monday before your wedding, that way you’ll have it ready to go but won’t have backed it too far in advance causing you to forget what’s in it or where it is!
– Give the box to someone that you trust with your life, their job will not only be keeping track of the box but telling you and me (the photographer) where they put it to ensure we can quickly get started on the detail shots when it’s time!
Bonus Tip: Include heirlooms of family members that are no longer physically with us in your box to have them near to you during your entire big day! It can be a photo of you and that person, tying their ring to your bouquet, wearing a necklace or cuff links of theirs! If you need more detail ideas or have anything other questions please reach out and I’d be happy to chat!
